Moderation of sugar must be done in all food items but with desserts, it is possible to completely eliminate it. Non sugar dessert recipes are abundantly available and in fact, all sugar based desserts can be prepared with the help of artificial sweeteners. For the nutritional aspects, desserts can include many varieties of fruits, prepared in different methods and combinations. Fruit desserts have the added benefit of completely eliminating artificial sweeteners also.
